Main Goal: I want to gain more muscle yet get really cut for the first time in my life Best Features: I'm in pretty good shape My Plan: Change my diet, eat smaller more frequent meals and start doing more cardio. Motivation: Others my age, busting their butt and looking good. Advice: Begin with the end in mind!
I grew up in a small town in Northern Michigan and moved to Oklahoma with my job in 1992. I am a 47 year old husband,( we have been married 27 years...YIPPIE), with four children, 3 girls and a the last one a boy, ranging from 20 to 25 years old. I have worked in the Oil & Gas Industry for 26 years, and currently for a Natural Gas company. I started working out when I started college, doing a full body workout everyday for 5 days a week, I did this for about 3 months until I learned that there is a better way. I continued on a 3 day a week full body routine just to try to get stronger while playing college baseball. Since those early days I now workout 4 days a week and vary my routines, going on a split of upper body, lower body for 8 weeks, then switching to a Monday-Chest, Tuesday-Back Wednesday-Off, Thursday- Legs, Friday-Arms. I really like this last one best because it gives me the opportunity to focus all time and effort for the workout on one bodypart, plus I have plenty of time to recoup. I lift heavy for 5-7 reps on each excercise. What I am really trying to focus on now is getting my eating habits in check, eating smaller more frequent meals and staying away from the junk. I really want to see my abs again...and soon. I play basketball with a bunch of college kids every Saturday, and enjoy playing tennis, golf and flipping houses.

Okay, so today (1/2/2009) is a big day for me and for my personal training partner Jan King. For the first time ever, both she and I are actually competing in some sort of fitness competition. In all my 34 years+ of working out I have never competed as a bodybuilder, or as a weight/power lifter, not ever. Jan is a 49 year old mother of 7. She started training hard with me on 1/2/2008, yes exactly one year ago. She has made incredible progress in the past year too. everything good.... shoulder is healing awesome, finally got released to work out on my own and im going to take it easy...... did chest today and it felt good. didnt really get to sore. the only place that bothers me is the anchors. cant wait to be 100%

GREAT...THAT IS I GET RETIREMENT PAY AND PART TIME PAY AND GET TO WORK WITH THE KIDS...ONLY CONCERN IS I'M USE TO 11TH & 12 GRADE ALG 2 STUDENTS AND NOW FIND MYSELF WORKING WITH 3RD & 4TH GRADERS IN MATHEMATICS,WORKING PART TIME STILL GIVES ME PLENTY OF TIME TO W.O....TODAY BEING UPPER BODY USING REST-PAUSE WHICH CAN BE A REAL BITCH...HOW ARE THINGS WITH YOU
