Me in a nutshell... I'm a working mother of 2 girls (21 and 12) trying to keep feeling and looking young for them, my husband, and especially myself. Love to cook, ski, read, and spend time at the speedway track watching/helping my husband race.
I started going to the gym, rather than trying to workout at home, in June of 2007. Age starts to take it's toll, you know. Getting to the gym about three - four times per week - twice with my trainer, cardio and classes. It's been a struggle as I've never had to work to keep my weight down before - age is the great equalizer I guess :-). I found this site as a result of others working on their bodies and researching breast augmentation - which I finally did in February, 2008. The energy and confidence that the surgery and working out has given back to me is a real motivation to do even more in the gym.
I'm hoping to continue to improve my fitness level while maintaining my life with my family. I've dropped 3% bodyfat since I began working out and feel the difference; but ignoring the scale (which doesn't move) is tough.
I've promised my hubby - no single male friends. So, while I appreciate the invites; I can't accept at this time.
10/26/08 - ok, I'm going to try the 8-week success plan. I've never been successful at a very structured meal plan - It's hard because I still have a family to cook for; but I'm going to try to modify the meals for them and stick to it for myself. Taking measurements and thinking about looking good for the holidays.
